Thanks Donna!

It's true it's good to have a 'purpose' or special interest. A class blog can be a great idea because classes tend to keep using it long after the course finishes. I've seen a few that have really taken off.

SharePoint eh? Good on you! All of our 'kits' will be in SahrePoint and it's only going to grow, so building capability in this area is fantastic.

See you soon.

Oh- there it is!
I am not into blogs yet as until I have a 'need' or special interest & purpose I just find it confusing so far! But after using both the blogs & wikis I am more confident in social networking & have encouraged all of the Gen Ed campuses to let me set up their own share point sites to start using for all file sharing , news, links etc. This might sound boring but is a big change- I now want to do some recordings on how to use it to put up for our non techno staff. The thing I like about share point is that it is sort of social networking, but with the legalities covered and we can link to other current versions etc of our forms and stuff. It is hard to get us TAFEies away from email so this might be a start to get the gen ed staff to open the share point site to start with each time they sit at a computer. Hoping to get them to start using the one document instead of everyone having it saved on their own udrive etc. I looked at the google docs file sharing stuff which looks good. That's all from me today
